Ponniyin Selvan star Jayam Ravi completed the shooting of birth the parts of this magnum opus a few months ago and started his next projected JR28 recently. The latest report states, the film’s title has been finalised to be Akhilan.
Jayam Ravi has collaborated with director N Kalyana Krishnan for this film. The duo already delivered the film Bhooloham, A boxing drama in 2015. Though the film did not do well at the box office Ravi was praised for his performance.
The makers of the film have kickstarted JR28 with a muhurat puja ceremony, owing to the special occasion of Vinayaga Chaturthi and Jayam Ravi’s 41st birthday. Priya Bhavani Shankar will be playing the female lead opposite Jayam Ravi. Sam CS will be scoring the music, while the cinematography will be handled by Vivek.
Produced by Seven Screen Studio, the film is touted to be an action thriller that will have Jayam Ravi in the role of a gangster. Interestingly, the movie was scripted by late director SP Jananathan who made his debut with the movie ‘Iyarkai’ in 2003. The official announcement about the film’s title is expected to arrive soon.
