The ever-expanding MCU universe is now all set to introduce a new superhero. With their new miniseries titled Ms Marvel, MCU will be introducing the world to their first Muslim teenage superhero. Ms Marvel is the story of Kamala who aspires to be like Captain Marvel. The miniseries will revolve around her discovery of her superpowers and the responsibility that comes with it.
Marvel Studios unveiled the trailer of the show yesterday. Starring Iman Vellani in the titular role, the trailer was as exciting as it could get. The miniseries will star many Asian and American actors, including Mohan Kapur, Nimra Bucha, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman and Travina Springer. Fawad Khan and Farhan Akhtar are also rumoured to be a part of this show.
The trailer shows us how Kamala navigates her boring life only to find out she has superpowers. Things drastically change for her when she realises she is a superhero, with chaos obviously following behind. The trailer is exciting, dramatic, full of suspense and exactly what Marvel is known for. The Weeknd’s track “Blinding Lights” playing in the background just adds another layer of excitement to it.
