Speaker Nancy Pelosi is only behind Kamala Harris for being a President. Media houses are trying to know whether the President met Martin during the event.
According to some sources, President Biden was at the event for about 30 minutes, and no one really knows what he did during that time or even who he met in those 30 minutes. White House claimed that it did not have anything to add to the speculations doing rounds worldwide.
The Office of Nancy Pelosi denied commenting immediately on where Martin was sitting or how the developments would affect protocols and the next event, which takes place on Thursday. On the other hand, Martin will be in Washington to celebrate holidays and was due to meet with President Biden on Thursday at none other than the White House.
The two were supposed to speak at the Annual Friends of Ireland Luncheon.
After seeing a drop in Covid cases, the White House, Washington, and Capitol were thinking of easing mask restrictions and other protocols. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated that 98% of the population can be mask-free now, but we can now see cases rising in Western Pacific and Europe again. This could possibly mean an imminent wave is about to reach the U.S. again.
It is believed that third doses are 90% effective against Covid, and Biden has been fully vaccinated and even given booster doses. The extra shots are even more important for the population above 50 years of age. The White House also stated that second gentleman Doug Emhouff is also Covid positive. So far, Biden and Harris have managed to stay away from the coronavirus even after being exposed to it on many occasions.
