Suriya is currently relishing the success of his latest outing ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’. After crossing many obstacles the film was released on March 10 and received positive reviews from the audience and critics. But a new problem seems to have arrived for the team.
Now, the latest report is that a police complaint was filed against the ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ team. The All India Netaji Party has lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore Police Commissioner demanding that the ‘Ullam Urugudhaya’ song from ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ be seen as an insult to the Tamil god Murugan and demanded that the song should be removed from the film immediately.
Speaking on the issue, party founder Rahul Gandhi said that even though the song had been released several days back, it was only after the release of the film today that it was revealed that it contained scenes that insulted Lord Murugan.
He thus demanded that the song be removed from the film immediately. He also added that Suriya, director Pandiraj, music composer D Iman and lyricist Yugabharathi, who composed words to defame completely aware that it was an invocation song, should be dealt with legally.
