stevexcooper, LIFEOFTHOM – “Never Silent”

Brooklyn-based artist stevexcooper’s newest offering “Never Silent” is a juxtaposition of multi-layered electronics and reverberating beats that come together to create an impact. The track also includes fellow artist LIFEOFTHOM’s gritty vocals. Tackling the topic of violence in both the song and its music video, stevexcooper said in a statement, “We wanted to address violence but with nuance, hinting at its origins and necessity for both survival and affecting change. The lyrics are true to LIFEOFTHOM’s experience but also elicit a type of revolutionary feeling centered on protecting and standing up for yourself and what you believe in.”

Imogen Mahdavi – “Late Night Calls”

U.K. singer-songwriter Imogen Mahdavi recently shared her fresh single, the sensual and vulnerable “Late Night Calls.” Revolving around heartbreak, the track is brooding and seductive, yet uplifted with unexpected sonics compelling you to dance. In a statement, Mahdavi said, “This is a really exciting era for me. It feels like the start of the artist I’ve been searching to become. ‘Late Night Calls’ is my first real heartbreak record. It’s about watching the person you love, moving on with someone new, literally a nightmare of happiness in front of me.”

Adil C, Trinity Rose – “I Promise”

Toronto singer-songwriter Adil C teams up with Los Angeles singer-songwriter Trinity Rose for the shimmering pop single “I Promise.” Powered by synth-pop production and exuberant guitar flourishes, the song also supports the charity organization Pencils Of Promise, which endeavors to provide access to education for children across the world.

Guru Lahori – “Garaj Baras”

Calgary-origin, desi hip-hop artist Guru Lahori confronts the competition on his latest single “Garaj Baras,” with a production assist from Brad Singleton aka Ayyobrad. The ominous, buoyant song captures Lahori at his fiercest yet, notching up Hindi, Punjabi and English rap about his own abilities while brushing off any other rapper in his sights.

Mizgin – “Numb”

Swedish singer-songwriter Mizgin Demircan (who goes by her first name as an artist) gives us a taste of all things cutting edge and forward-thinking in the world of pop, as one would expect from someone born and brought up in the Scandinavian country. Her latest single “Numb” makes its way through clever electronic movements which keep you guessing, with the vocals being guarded and melancholic.

Mary S.K., Berk Canevi – “Sexy Things”

Ukrainian vocalist and DJ Mary Skaballanovych aka Mary S.K. primarily delves in the electro, tech house, deep house and nu-disco space and she teams up with Greece/Turkey producer Berk Canevi for a hypnotic new song “Sexy Things.” Crafted for the dancefloor, Mary and Canevi journey through a sensual track released via EEM Records.
