The First Reviews For ‘Elden Ring’ Are Out & It’s Being Called A Masterpiece

“The Elden Ring. Oh, the Elden Ring” has been echoing in every nook and cranny of the internet, ever since From Software announced Hidetaka Miyazaki’s next game in the series. Developed in collaboration with George R. R. Martin, the action RPG is easily one of the most highly-anticipated games this year.

Now, ahead of its launch tomorrow, reviews have started pouring in and it looks like From Soft has yet another hit on its hands. Almost all the major publications in the world have given it a perfect rating. With some even calling it “the best open-world game to be ever made”

Currently, Elden Ring stands as the highest-rated game of all time on OpenCritic, with a score of 97. It shares a similar score on MetaCritic as well. Virtually, everyone who’s played the game has given it a perfect score. This sort of wide consensus was only seen with games like Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption 2

Just like every other From Software game, the lore behind Elden Ring can be difficult to decipher. Writer George R. R. Martin along with Hidetaka Miyazaki has created a world called ‘Lands Between.’ Here, we take on the role of Tarnished, who’s tasked with seeking the shards, restoring the ring and ultimately becoming the Elden Lord.

In case you’ve pre-ordered the game in India, you can start your console journey from midnight itself. However, PC players will have to wait till 11.30 am in the morning for access.

Elden Ring feels like the culmination of everything From Software have learned up to this point. The atmosphere is deeply enchanting, the world is utterly enormous, and there is a varying difficulty-level to encounters that should satisfy more players. I am 500 hours into Elden Ring. my wife and children have left me. I have not slept or eaten for several weeks. I only know I exist through flickering shadows cast upon this cave wall. And yet I’ve just barely scratched the surface of this game.

I think Elden Ring is *absolutely incredible*, one of the best games ever made, but I also don’t think you’ll like it at all if you don’t like Dark Souls. It very clearly has Dark Souls DNA, and operates like it expects you to have played previous games in that series.

Elden Ring is about to save us all from the horrors of ‘Modern Gaming.’

So unbelievable that a Triple A studio can launch a functional, fun and complete video game.

I feel like Elden Ring won’t just be seen as a game launch, it will be seen as one of those monumental events in gaming history, not because of what it marketed, but because of what it delivered. Elden Ring over delivers on every level.
