Longing for a much-needed track day? But don’t want to make the trip to Delhi or Chennai? We got some good news u. A company called Infratech Developers is developing a brand-new FIA Grade 3 race track 170km outside of Bengaluru.
Called ‘The Valley Speedway’, the race track will be 2.4km long and 12 metres wide throughout. It’ll also be 3 hours away from the city and will feature elevation changes, going from 18m climb to a 10m decline. Work on the 53-acre track has which began in November 2021. There can be a total of 4 track configurations, including a dirt track.
Infratech Developers have recruited the help of Hermann Tilke’s team, who’ve previously designed the Yas Marina, Bahrain International circuit, COTA, Sochi Autodrome, and the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida.
“With Tilke’s team working in tandem with ours, we aim to start construction by May 2022 and open our doors to enthusiasts by the end of next year,” says Amogh Kandari, managing director, Infratech Developers.
In addition to the track, the company is also planning on developing a condo project with a member’s clumbhouse. This will include spacious suit villas with ample garage spaces. These condos are said to have a bids eye of the whole track. Additionally, a 100-room hotel is also being planned
In case you don’t want to travel all the way to Bengaluru, there are a total of 8 tracks which are built across India. This includes Nanoli Speedway near Pune, CoASTT near Coimbatore, Pista Motor Raceway near Hyderabad, and the Marque One in Anantapur. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s pack-up the leathers and go!
